I can’t believe it has been so long that since I’ve posted. This time it will be brief, with no photo and just a brief message about taking meaningful action.
I read my last blog post and it resonated perfectly true for me today as it did the day I wrote it.
Where have I been? Well, as I came towards the end of the year, my schedule got hectic. I am an introvert by nature and life is pretty full for me. I don’t have the opportunity as much as I probably need to get time alone to do the things that are important to me; to take meaningful action towards my Purpose.
The holidays are the hardest for me to maintain a healthy balance. Once I’m out of balance, I’m totally out of whack for a long time.
All of this is just an excuse, I know, but there it is.
So what is my point?
Taking action, no matter how small the step, can make a huge improvement to your state of mind, your mood, your outlook and your self worth.
For the longest time, I couldn’t even review my blog site just to do updates! The thought of it created negative feelings of guilt and discomfort because I had let it go, knowing I didn’t have the mental energy to commit to it again.
I finally reached a point where I knew I couldn’t put it off anymore, so now I am free-writing this post just to take a small step to get back on the right track.
And you know what? It feels great!
The Take Away
Life isn’t always easy. Often it is a slog. But we don’t have to be perfect and it is okay to not be on top of all things at all times.
But there is a time when we need to take care of ourselves; to be true to ourselves and the Purpose we follow.
Small actions, meaningful actions can make all the difference to our state of mind. One simple action can make the difference between days on end of meaningless effort and a life lived with meaning and Purpose.
What simple meaningful action can you take today that is for you and is consistent with your Purpose?
